PLEASE pray for our country as turbulent times and changing attitudes “challenge” our faith..  Pray for the Hurricane victims. Go to God in prayer.

PLEASE take time weekly to review those in need of comfort and prayer as listed on the Church Bulletin.

“Heavenly Father;  I may not understand how everything will work out, but I trust you.  I don’t see a way, but I trust you. Things look dark and bleak now, but I have faith that my dawn is coming ! Amen”

Mt Zion United Methodist News

*The Mt. Zion United Methodist Women continue to collect “USED” postage stamps.  Stamps are to be cut off with a 1/4 inch border.  If you are not sure of what to cut, bring the envelope with the stamp attached to Lillian Guthrie and she will take care of the removal.

*There will be a “general mailing” to all members and associates of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church this week.  The purpose of the mailing is to encourage participation in our Church activities of all those who have been involved with Mt. Zion over the years.  This process has been discussed at previous Administrative Council meetings and we hope to inform and encourage support for our Church and the improvements to the Church building.  Now that the new Church structure and interior improvements conducted over the previous 11 years is nearing completion we have to look ahead to maintenance and upkeep during the future years.

Special note regarding improvements:  Lowell Broadwater has completed the addition of electric to the “serving bar” in the basement dining area.  This upgrade will make it much easier for serving meals and providing banquet service for the ladies of Mt. Zion.
